We've had a great summer with the kids camps proving popular. Now it's time to gear up to the coaching opportunities for all between September & December.
For Juniors: We kick start the term with the return of the members Junior Club Night on Friday 7th September. **Please note** the slight change this term to when school year 7 will attend the club night. Previously school year 7 would move to the 6.00pm start along with all other secondary school years but based on our current membership, school year 7 will remain at 4.30-6.00pm. 🎾Knutsford Tennis Club 24 hr Tennisathon...🎾 IT’S BACK.....And it’s going be even bigger and better than last time. Support our town's up and coming little stars and help fund the re-development of the Junior courts at our club. Put the date in your diary to keep free NOW... Details will be emerging over then next month or so from our magnificent Tennisathon team. Date: Friday 29th June 4.30pm start straight through to Saturday 30th June 4.30pm finish. Talk about it, share with your friends around the town, at school and on your personal social media. It’s been a busy few weeks getting our new online membership renewal system up and running, but all is in place and renewal reminders have now gone out via email (no paper forms this year!!). We are using an LTA provided system called ‘Clubspark’, which several clubs in the area also use.
When you receive your renewal email please handle it promptly - just three simple steps :
There is a help guide on what to do here, nearly 40 members have already renewed and found the new system very straight forward to use. Don’t forget to renew and pay for you membership before the end of April, - especially important if you want to be part of the Wimbledon Draw this year. I hope you have had a great Christmas break and are now ready for 2018 at Knutsford Tennis Club... We kick off on Friday 5th with Junior Club Night resuming for all our junior members - 4.30-6.00pm (Primary School Years 4 to 6) 6.00-7.30pm (All secondary school years) Then the Tennis Aces Coaching Programme starts from Saturday 6th and each night next week for a 10 week block period. The full coaching programme for adults and juniors can be viewed on the Tennis Aces website. You will see cardio tennis for adults has moved back to 7.30-8.30pm on Monday nights and is a great and different way to exercise. Ladies, there are opportunities during the day and evening on Thursdays with my ladies morning and Katies evening session. The full junior programme caters for all aged 4 through to 18 and is explained on the website by the child's school year. The full coaching programme is open to members and non-members. Now matches are in full swing, courts are getting really busy.
We will update you with how all our teams are doing next month but in the meantime, to save any wasted journeys, we thought it might be worth just clarifying who has priority and when it's likely to be busiest. Matches can take place at home on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Ladies have organised sessions on Mondays taking 2-3 courts and the same for men on Wednesdays. General club nights are Tuesdays and there is another club night for members and none members on Thursdays. This is an opportunity for the club to introduce potential new members and it has been very successful over the last few years. Therefore if there is a match, it's possible that all 5 courts will be in use. You can always check if there is a match on the calendar on both the Tennis and Sports Club websites plus the notice board. If you want to organise club tournament games or social 4's please check the date or maybe opt for the weekends or Friday nights. Please note that Mark has his Spring / Summer Camps next week. This will use the top and bottom two courts during the day, leaving the middle three courts free for social play. |
