Wimbledon ticket opt in If you want to be included in our club ballot for Wimbledon tickets in 2016 you will need to "opt in" to the LTA by February 19th. Please note you have to do this every year, so even if you did it last year you will have to opt in again. At the moment we have less than half the number opted in compared to last year which will reduce the number of tickets we are allocated as a club. Our experience is that the easiest way to "opt in" is to ring the LTA service centre on +44 (0)20 8487 7000 and they will do it for you even if you don’t know your BTM number. Alternatively, you can '"opt in" by going to the LTA website http://www.lta.org.uk/. If you do not have British Tennis Membership you can register on line. If you already have British Tennis Membership you need to log in to the members area. The front page gives a link to "opt in" to the Wimbledon Ballot. All you have to do is tick a box. We would really appreciate all members doing this (even if you don't want to go to Wimbledon this year) as it will affect how many tickets the club get allocated by the LTA. Tennis Club AGM Monday 14th March Our Annual General Meeting takes place on 14th March at 7.30. This involves electing a new committee for the next year, and it would be great to have some fresh faces. If you think you might be interested, speak to any committee member who can give you more idea of what is involved. Or, if you don't want to be on the committee but would be willing to organise a social event in the next 12 months that would be great as well. The Main Sports Club AGM is also coming up soon on Monday 29th February at 7.00. It would be helpful to have good representation of tennis members at this meeting. Monday evening ladies social tennis Monday evenings will now be a regular slot for ladies to get together, play tennis and have a glass of wine and a natter afterwards . The new ladies social tennis Monday evenings is to be totally inclusive so all ladies are invited. It will start at 6.30 with the older juniors joining straight after their coaching session. Everyone is welcome but you will need to have light tokens available to put the floodlights on. If you think you can help with running the evening from 31st March onwards please contact Sonia. (soniaamos@btinternet.com) Sunday mornings operate on the same basis. Everyone is welcome from 10.00 onwards with members arranging games for all those who turn up. There is no charge as floodlights are not required. Many people prefer playing in natural light so this is a great option for playing without the need to pre arrange a game. to edit.
